EPES, ALABAMA .....Forestry & Co-op Development Specialists needed at Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund Rural Training and Research Center in Epes, Alabama. One position will focus on outreach to farmers on forestry issues and the second position will focus primarily on cooperative development. Specialist(s) are responsible for providing outreach to small landowners in land based economic development programs. Incumbent(s) will be responsible for studying economical and statistical data in area and providing education and training programs on agro-forestry and co-op development strategies.
Specialists will provide advice and consultation on economic relationships to public and private agencies and conduct on-farm training sessions to limited resource landowners. Some travel required. Must have a Master’s degree in Agriculture Economics, Forestry, or related discipline. Per annum salary is $42,000 with standard company benefits.
