You don’t want to miss the Annual Meeting!!

Join us on August 20-21, 2010 at the Federation’s Rural Training and Research Center in Epes, Alabama.  On Friday, August 20th from 8:00AM – 4:00PM, we will hold a series of activities to include exhibits; cooperative, agroforestry, and conservation workshops and Agtours. Guest speakers will include Ms. LeAnn Oliver, Deputy Administrator, USDA Cooperative Programs; Mr. Dave White, Chief, NRCS; Mr. Tom Tidwell, Chief, USDA Forest Service, and Mr. Johnathan Coppess, Administrator, Farm Service Agency. Later that evening at 6:00PM enjoy the fun and excitement of the Live Auction and Fish Fry with live entertainment!  

Saturday’s Annual Meeting will begin with a Prayer Breakfast at 8:00AM and a sumptuous home cooked southern meal.  On Saturday, August 21 keynote speakers will be former Federation Georgia Director/former Georgia Director USDA's Rural Development Shirley Sherrod and NAACP Director Ben Jealous will be keynote speakers. They will refer to the recent incident around Ms. Sherrod's dismissal from USDA, the distorted video by the right-wing and Ms. Sherrod's and the NAACP's response.
